• SHORT PROCESSING TIME FOR MORE LOADS PER DAY
The total processing cycle time, including cleaning and drying, is designed to be 30 minutes or less. This facilitates more pounds cleaned per hour, thereby achieving high equipment productivity.
• MINIMIZED GARMENT CLASSIFICATION SAVES TIME AND LABOR
The Solvair process produces more even drying than conventional cleaning and allows better control of dyes, so there is less need for garment sorting and classification than with existing drycleaning technologies. More even drying means that streaks and swales are no longer a concern. Delicate items can be cleaned with heavy items, dark colored items with light colored items, and fabrics likely to cause dye transfer cleaned with items vulnerable to dye pick up. There is also no need to accumulate certain types of items (such as lighter weight garments) in order to run full loads throughout the day.
• MORE EFFECTIVE STAIN REMOVAL SAVES TIME AND LABOR
The majority of stains are removed during the normal cleaning cycle in the Solvair cleaning system, so there is much less need for labor intensive post-spotting stain removal on the spotting board.
• EFFECTIVE DRYING FOR MORE FULL LOADS
In conventional dry-to-dry technology, sufficient space needs to be available in the wheel to allow the heated air stream to circulate and properly dry garments. With the Solvair cleaning system, this air space is not needed, and therefore, the full wheel capacity can be utilized.
• REDUCED LABOR AND TRAINING REQUIREMENTS AND COSTS
Reduced need for garment classification and stain removal results in less need for training and skilled labor; factors that can contribute to lower operating costs.
• COMPETITIVE SUPPLY COSTS
The consumption of Solvair cleaning fluid and CO2 is low, and consequently, supply and waste management costs are competitive with those in existing drycleaning technologies.
• INCENTIVES AND REDUCED TAXES
Depending upon their geographic location, businesses that convert to the Solvair cleaning system may pay lower or no solvent taxes and, in some instances, may be eligible for state grants and tax allowances for converting to an environmentally friendly technology.
