• DESIGNED FOR THE ENVIRONMENT
Equipment, process and features minimize supply use and maximize recovery of solvents. Process controls are designed to enable passive operation for the purpose of eliminating operator errors. To help ensure responsible product stewardship practices, a closed loop supply delivery and process waste management system is an integral part of machine operation and ownership.
• PROCESS FLUIDS HAVE A HISTORY OF SAFE USE
The Solvair system is self-contained to prevent operator exposure to process fluids and waste. The solvent component of the Solvair cleaning fluid has been used for many years in consumer cleaning products. Occupational exposure studies have not shown any adverse health effects.
• LESS WASTE & MAXIMIZED RECLAMATION & REUSE OF PROCESS FLUIDS
The majority of Solvair cleaning fluid and CO2 is recovered, recycled and reused. Loss rates and usage are significantly lower than current dry cleaning technologies. The initial Solvair cleaning fluid supplied at installation will not need to be replaced in large volume because usage is so low. The small amount of make up cleaning fluid required is included in regular process resupply.
• COMPLETELY BIODEGRADABLE
Solvair cleaning fluid is completely biodegradable.
• WASTE IS NON HAZARDOUS
The wastes produced by the Solvair process are not classified as hazardous. In the interests of environmental responsibility, however, all process waste will be handled through professional waste disposal methods.
• A HIGH FLASH POINT
Solvair fluid has a high flash point of more than 200° F. As a result it is classified as a Class IIIB solvent, and therefore, fire code requirements may be less stringent
• DOES NOT ADD TO GREEN HOUSE GASSES OR SMOG FORMATION
The CO2 used in the process has been reclaimed from other manufacturing processes, so it does not add to green house gas formation.
